Account Inactivity Policy
Last updated: March 18, 2025
Uhuu AG ("Uhuu") is committed to maintaining a clean, secure, and fair platform for all users. This Account Inactivity Policy outlines when and how we may close accounts due to extended periods of inactivity, as well as our approach to username use and availability.
1. Purpose
This policy explains:
- When an account is considered "inactive"
- What happens to inactive accounts
- Exceptions based on subscription status or other qualifying activity
- How to request review of an inactive username
This policy applies in connection with our Terms of Service, any applicable Order Forms, and other agreements you may have with Uhuu (the "Agreement").
2. What Is Considered Inactive?
To maintain your Uhuu account as "active," you must log in and use it at least once within any two-year period.
An account may be marked as inactive if:
- You have not signed in or used the account in two or more years
- Your account has been suspended for two or more years
Inactive accounts may be:
- Renamed or reassigned
- Removed from the platform
- Permanently deleted, including any associated data or projects
Uhuu prohibits name squatting — holding accounts or usernames without intent to use them or for resale. We also prohibit marketing or selling usernames.
3. Activity That Keeps Your Account Active
Even if you haven’t signed in recently, your account may still be considered active if you:
- Have an active Uhuu subscription
- Used the account to purchase or access paid Uhuu services in the past two years
- Published an app, integration, or listing in the Uhuu Marketplace
- Earned a certification from Uhuu in the last two years
- Have an unspent balance or credit
- Are owed a payment from Uhuu
- Manage an active account for a minor linked to your own
Note: Once your subscription expires, you must sign in manually within two years to keep your account active.
4. Exceptions & Discretion
Uhuu may retain accounts even if inactive in the following cases:
- To comply with local laws or legal obligations
- For audit, tax, or security reasons
- At our discretion, in special circumstances
5. How to Check Your Status
You can view the current activity status of your account at any time:
- Visit your User Settings
- Or go to Team or Organization Settings if you're part of a workspace
6. Requesting an Inactive Username
If you'd like to claim a username that appears inactive:
- Reach out to us at support@uhuu.io
- Please note: Account activity may not be publicly visible, and Uhuu is not obligated to release or assign any specific username
