This cookie policy explains how and why we use cookies on our website and platform, and how you can manage them.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information such as your language setting, login status or interaction history, to provide a smoother and more personalised experience.

The cookies used by Uhuu fall into two categories:

  • First-party cookies: Set directly by Uhuu when you use our website or platform.
  • Third-party cookies: Set by our trusted partners (e.g. analytics or support providers) to understand usage or improve functionality.

2. Why we use cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Store your settings: Such as language, design and interface settings.
  • Authenticate sessions: Keep you securely signed in to your Uhuu account.
  • Measure usage: Through privacy-friendly analytics tools.
  • Support live chat: Our customer support may use cookies to improve conversations and context.

Uhuu does not use cookies for advertising or third-party retargeting.

5. Cookies on this website (uhuu.io)

Sections 1 to 4 describe the cookies of the Uhuu platform. For our marketing website (uhuu.io) the following applies:

The website itself sets no cookies and stores no data in your browser. The language is part of the address (/en, /de). We currently use no analytics, advertising or support cookies on the website, and the spam protection of the forms works without cookies and without third parties.

The one exception is an embedded YouTube video: only when you click “Load video” in the notice does your browser load the player from youtube-nocookie.com (Google), which may use cookies or similar technologies. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your browser's cookies and site data (section 4). More details are in the privacy policy, section 13.
