Account Inactivity Policy.
Last updated: 18 March 2025
Uhuu AG ("Uhuu") is committed to a clean, secure and fair platform for all users. This account inactivity policy explains when and how we may close accounts due to prolonged inactivity, and how we handle usernames and their availability.
1. Purpose
This policy explains:
- When an account is considered "inactive"
- What happens to inactive accounts
- Exceptions based on subscription status or other qualifying activities
- How to request a review of an inactive username
This policy applies together with our Terms of Service, all applicable order forms and other agreements you may have with Uhuu (the "Agreement").
2. What counts as inactive?
To keep your Uhuu account "active", you must sign in and use it at least once within a period of two years.
An account may be marked as inactive if:
- you have not signed in or used the account for two or more years
- your account has been suspended for two or more years
Inactive accounts may be:
- Renamed or reassigned
- Removed from the platform
- Permanently deleted, including all associated data or projects
Uhuu prohibits name squatting — holding accounts or usernames with no intention of using them or for resale. We also prohibit the marketing or sale of usernames.
3. Activities that keep your account active
Even if you have not signed in recently, your account may still be considered active if you:
- Have an active Uhuu subscription
- Have used the account in the last two years to buy or access paid Uhuu services
- Have published an app, integration or listing in the Uhuu Marketplace
- Have received a certification from Uhuu in the last two years
- Have an unspent credit balance
- Are due to receive a payment from Uhuu
- Manage an active account for a minor linked to your account
Note: After your subscription expires, you must sign in manually within two years to keep your account active.
4. Exceptions & discretion
Uhuu may keep accounts even when inactive in the following cases:
- To comply with local laws or legal obligations
- For audit, tax or security reasons
- At our discretion in special cases
5. Checking your status
You can view the current activity status of your account at any time:
- Visit your user settings
- Or go to the team or organisation settings if you are part of a workspace
6. Requesting an inactive username
If you would like to claim a username that appears inactive:
- Contact us at support@uhuu.io
- Please note: Account activity may not be publicly visible, and Uhuu is not obliged to release or assign specific usernames
